Chemical compound management platform development and integration intern

Duration: 5 to 6 months from January 2024

Missions & activities:

Within our Computational Chemistry department, you will contribute to the development of the platform for our company's stock and catalogue management systems. After conducting a preliminary analysis of the existing platform and a bibliographical study, you will implement the best solutions identified. Your tasks will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand the specific needs and challenges of catalogue management. 
  • Redesigning and developing user-friendly interfaces for the databases to enhance accessibility and usability. 
  • Designing and implementing data analysis and visualization tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making processes. 
  • Developing algorithms, and scripts to automate data processing and analysis tasks. 
  • Conducting quality control and validation of catalogue data to ensure accuracy and consistency. 
  • Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in cheminformatics and data management techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Chemoinformatic, Computational Chemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of cheminformatics principles, data mining, and database management concepts. 
  • Good knowledge in chemistry. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in cheminformatics, such as Python. 
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, fluency in English.
